Ben specialises in providing tax and accounting services to businesses, SMSFs and individuals, from those with basic needs to complex family groups and corporate structures. He is responsible for the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for a wide range of entities and the annual audits of a large number of SMSFs. Ben also provides ongoing management accounting advice, including financial analysis, profit improvement, cash flow management and forecasting, to a range of our corporate clients.

Ben has accumulated 30 years of accounting and business experience since commencing his professional life directly after successfully completing his Year 12 studies at Prince Alfred College.

Major accounting firm Coopers and Lybrand provided Ben with the opportunity to gain his accounting degree while also being employed on a full-time basis. The merger of Coopers with another of Adelaide's largest accountancy firms, Price Waterhouse, resulted in Ben continuing to work with PriceWaterhouse Coopers, before working at Deloitte for a number of years.

During his sixteen years in the 'larger end of town', Ben gained significant experience in a broad range of areas including taxation, business advisory, insolvency and audit matters. Ben's professional skills and personal attributes enable him to provide sound and practical advice to business and personal clients, both large and small.

The merger of his father's accounting practice with that of long-time family friend, Ford Topham, gave Ben the opportunity to utilise his special skills to help establish and develop the new family partnership, Sanders Accountants.

Ben is a Bachelor of Accounting and a Chartered Accountant. He holds a practising certificate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, is a Registered Tax Agent, a Registered SMSF Auditor and a member of ARITA (Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association).

Ben and his wife, Jane, are active and enthusiastic members of the Unley Park Baptist Church community where they perform a number of roles. Ben plays and referees competitive basketball and is a keen cyclist and tennis player for Denman in the Southern Districts Tennis Association. Ben and Jane have four children.
